{{/presale}}The Perth Mints James Bond Series is one of many released throughout 2020 to honor the upcoming 25th feature film in the franchise. The character of James Bond was created by fictional writer Ian Fleming in 1953 with Fleming writing the original 12 novels and two short-story collections. Provident Metals now offers 2020 Tuvalu James Bond Series 007 1/2 Gram Gold Coins for you to purchase online.
Highlights:
When you purchase a 2020 Tuvalu James Bond Series 007 1/2 Gram Gold Coin, the Perth Mint offers these coins inside of a black presentation card. The card contains a capsule to house the card and features the opening imagery from every Bond feature film. The stylized gun barrel that focuses in on the silhouette of Bond is featured here, but instead focuses in on the coin in its capsule. The Perth Mints unlimited mintage of these coins means specimens will be struck to meet demand through the end of the 2020 calendar year.
Obverse
The obverse side of 2020 Tuvalu James Bond Series 007 1/2 Gram Gold Coins includes an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Designed in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley, this popular bust of the Queen was used on British coins from 1998 to 2015, Australian coins from 1999 to 2018, and remains in use on Commonwealth currency in the South Pacific to include Tuvalu, the Cook Islands, Niue, and others. Inscriptions on this face of the coin read Queen Elizabeth II, 0.5 Gram 9999 Au, and 2020 Tuvalu 2 Dollars.
Reverse
On the reverse, the 2020 Tuvalu James Bond Series 007 1/2 Gram Gold Coin comes with a depiction of the 007 logo. The logo features the code name 007, with the number 7 forming the butt and stock of a pistol with a stylized gun barrel and trigger finishing off the design. The only inscriptions on this face of the coin include James Bond around the design element.
History
No Time to Die is scheduled for release in 2020 as the 25th feature film in the James Bond franchise. Daniel Craig is slated to reprise the role of James Bond for the fifth time since 2006 when Craig debuted in the role in Casino Royale. Only Sean Connery and Roger Moore have played the role more than Craig, with Connery playing the original Bond in the first five feature films from 1962 to 1967, and again in 1971 after George Lazenby played the role once. Moore starred as Bond in seven consecutive films from 1973 to 1985.
