Introduced in 1986, the coins have been struck at West Point since 2001 in all three available versions of bullion, proof, and burnished coins. In 2020, skyrocketing demand resulted in the Philadelphia Mint also producing 2020 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins as an emergency issue to meet a gap between supply and demand. Right now, you can buy near-perfect 2020 (P) American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:

She wears the American flag over her shoulders and carries branches of oak and laurel in her left hand.
Reverse
For the reverse field of the 2020 (P) American Eagle Silver Coin, John Mercantis version of the heraldic eagle of the United States is depicted. It depicts the eagle with the US national shield on its chest, arrows of war in one talon, and the olive branch of peace in the other.
History
The American Eagle Silver Coin was originally struck at the San Francisco Mint from 1986 to 1998. In 1999 and 2000, the Philadelphia Mint struck the coins. For the first time since 2000, the Philadelphia Mint resumed coining BU versions of the American Eagle Silver Coin in 2020 as the West Point Mint suffered a seven-day closure during the pandemic and reduced staffing levels at the same time demand for the 2020 American Eagle Silver Coin was soaring. These 2020 (P) American Eagle Silver Coins came from Monster Boxes bearing serial numbers originating from the Philadelphia Mint. During two weeks of supplemental coining, the Philadelphia Mint produced 240,000 2020 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins.
