{{/presale}}The African Wildlife Series from the BH Mayer Mint includes African elephant and leopard designs, both issued for the nation of Somalia. The series started back in 1999 with the African bush elephant designs for Zambia, eventually switching to Somalia in 2004. In 2018, the series gained the leopard design. Right now, you can buy 2020 Somalia African Wildlife Leopard 1 oz Silver Coins with colorized visuals online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
With your purchase of 2020 Somalia African Wildlife Leopard 1 oz Silver Coins, you receive a coin that has colorized visuals on the reverse. These coins are available to you with individual protective plastic capsules and come in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The colorized lacquer on the reverse of the coins creates real-world visuals for the depiction of the leopard used in this years release. Colorized lacquers are applied in thin layers and do not detract from the silver content and purity of the specimen.
Obverse
Somalias coat of arms is featured on the obverse of the 2020 Somalia African Wildlife Leopard 1 oz Silver Coins. This image includes a crowned shield with a background field of horizontal lines and a single star set in the center. The shield is flanked by leopards with crossed spears and fern leaves below. Inscriptions on this face of the coin read Somali Republic, 2020, and 100 Shillings.
Reverse
A leopard is found in the reverse design element of the 2020 Somalia African Wildlife Leopard Silver Coins. In this years design, a mature leopard is shown lying on a large branch up in a tree as it gazes out on the savannah. Leopards are one of the five living members of the big cat family. The leopard has spotted fur similar to the jaguar and cheetah, but its fur patches take on unique rosette shapes and are more densely packed than those on other cats. Inscriptions include African Wildlife, Leopard, and 1 oz Ag 9999.
History
Leopards have one of the largest ranges of any wild cat in the world. Found throughout sub-Saharan Africa, leopards can also be found in small portions of Central Asia, Western Asia, India, and Southeast Asia. Compared to other large cats, leopards have long bodies with short, thick legs.
