{{/presale}}The United States Mint offers its popular American Eagle bullion series each year with various options for investors and collectors. Beyond the four metallic options of gold, silver, platinum, and palladium, there are various weights and versions in this collection that include bullion, proof, and burnished specimens. One of the twists available in the bullion series of American Eagle Silver Coins is the colorized option. Today, you have the chance to buy 2020 Colorized American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
While the United States Mint offers the American Eagle Silver coin in bullion, proof, and burnished options, it does not colorize any of its products directly. These Colorized American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins are BU specimens that have colorization applied to select obverse design elements. Specifically, the colorization is limited to the Liberty design and supporting design elements.
Obverse
On the obverse of 2020 Colorized American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins in this listing, you will find the image of Walking Liberty. This iconic design first appeared on the US Half Dollar from 1916 to 1947 and is considered one of the greatest American coin designs of all-time. Liberty is featured in left-profile relief walking toward the sun with her right hand reaching out toward the sun as her left carries branches of oak and laurel.
The colorized lacquer is applied on this face of the coin to Walking Liberty and the supporting design elements. Liberty wears a red-and-gold dress while carrying branches that are in full bloom. The American flag over her shoulders pops with its vibrant red, white, and blue. The valley and mountain are a lush green, while the yellow sun rises to spread daylight.
Reverse
The reverse design element of 2020 Colorized American Eagle Silver Coins includes the heraldic eagle of the United States. Here, the eagle has the national shield on its chest, arrows in one talon, and an olive branch in the other. A triangular cluster of 13 stars above its head represents the original American colonies.
History
American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins are produced by the United States Mint at its West Point Mint facility, with all three versions produced there annually as of 2001 (bullion and proof) and 2006 (burnished).
