{{/presale}}The Canadian Twin Maples Series is a beautiful iteration of the Canadian Maple Leaf bullion collection from the Royal Canadian Mint. After three decades in production, Canadian Maple Leaf Series expanded to include its first-ever 2 oz silver annual release. The Twin Maples is a 2 oz silver coin with its own, distinct design on the reverse face. Provident Metals now has 2020 Canadian Twin Maples 2 oz Silver Coins available to you for purchase online.
Highlights:
When you purchase the 2020 Canadian Twin Maples 2 oz Silver Coin online at Provident Metals, you receive specimens that are packaged inside of individual protective plastic flips. Multiples come in acrylic tubes of 14 or boxes of 280 silver coins. The box holds a total of 20 tubes of 14 coins. All specimens in this series are reverse-proof coins with mirrored designs overlaying frosted background fields.
Obverse
The obverse of 2020 Canadian Twin Maples 2 oz Silver Coins comes with a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. This effigy of the Queen in right-profile relief was designed in 2003 by Susanna Blunt and marks the fourth version of her portrait used on Canadian coins. The inscriptions on this face of the coin include Elizabeth II, D.G. Regina, and 10 Dollars. The entire background field of the obverse comes with radial lines.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2020 Canadian Twin Maples Silver Coin is an image of two sugar maple leaves. This design from Celia Godkin was created for this series and features two matching sugar maple leaves. The two leaves have separate, smaller stems, but remain attached to one another by a larger stem at the base. The inscriptions on this face of the coin include Canada, 2020, 9999 Fine Silver 2 oz Argent Pur 9999, and the CG initials of the designer.
History
Canadian Twin Maples have many of the security and enhancement features that Canadian Maple Leaf Silver bullion coins feature. This includes the micro-engraved laser privy mark on the reverse, radial lines around the outer edge of the design element, and MINTSHIELD technology. MINTSHIELD is an invisible layer that is meant to help protect against white spots, or milky spots, that can occur as part of the coining process on silver bullion coins.
