{{/presale}}The Aquitaine bull is one of the best-known species of bulls in the world. This particular bull species originated in southwestern France and has been known to human civilizations since the Middle Ages. A powerful symbol, the bull was depicted on two issues from the Royal Canadian Mint in 2020. Provident Metals now has 2020 Canadian Bull 1/4 oz Gold Coins available to you for purchase online.
Highlights:
When you purchase a 2020 Canadian Bull 1/4 oz Gold Coin online at Provident Metals, you will receive a specimen that is packaged either individually or in bulk. Multiples of 20 come in sealed sheets. Individual coins arrive in protective plastic pouches. These 1/4 oz gold coins were one of two issues from the Royal Canadian Mint in 2020 with the bull design from Steve Hepburn, with the other being a 1.5 oz silver coin.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2020 Canadian Bull Gold Coin features the right-profile effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the fourth-generation effigy of the Queen to grace Canadian coins and it was created in 2003 by Susanna Blunt. This design shows the Queen in right-profile relief without a crown, a first on Canadian coins during her reign. The field includes inscriptions of ELIZABETH II, D.G. REGINA, and 10 DOLLARS.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2020 Canadian Bull 1/4 oz Gold Coins is an image of a powerful bull. This artwork from Steve Hepburn reflects the image of an Aquitaine bull. This species is known for its easy-going nature and hardy genetics. The Aquitaine bull has proven capable of surviving in harsh conditions and foraging successfully even when the terrain is rocky or sparse. The inscriptions on this side include CANADA, 2020, 9999, FINE GOLD, and 1/4 OZ OR PUR.
History
Bulls have long been a symbol of power associated with various cultures around the world. This powerful bull is reminiscent of the bronze bull featured along Wall Street in New York City. In financial terms, the upward turn of the horns and the unchecked power of the bull are associated with a strong stock market that sees runaway gains in value.
