{{/presale}}The British Royal Arms bullion coin series from the Royal Mint of England debuted in 2019. That first year of availability featured 1 oz silver and 1 oz gold bullion coins. 2020 not only brings the return of those two weights, but it also brings about the release of a new 1/10 oz gold coin and a 1 oz platinum bullion coin for the series. Provident Metals currently offers the 2020 British Royal Arms 1 oz Gold Coin for you to purchase online.

Obverse
The obverse field of the 2020 British Royal Arms 1 oz Gold Coins bears the right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the fifth-generation depiction of Her majesty and captures the Queen at the age of 89. She wears the George IV State Diadem Crown and her bust is set against a background field with a guilloche design element. Inscriptions include 100 Pounds, Elizabeth II, and D.G. Reg F.D.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2020 British Royal Arms 1 oz Gold Coins is a depiction of the Royal Arms of England. Since 1837, the Royal Arms of England has featured a quartered shield supported by the Lion of England and the Unicorn of Scotland. Those heraldic beasts are captured in a unique pose in support of the shield in this design. On the shield, the quadrants contain the individual coat of arms for England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, all member states of the United Kingdom.
History
The first officially adopted Royal Arms of England came from King Richard I. Known to many as Richard the Lionheart, he was the second Plantagenet king. He adopted the famed Three Lions that featured three golden lions in a passant guardant pose on a field of red. This remains as the coat of arms for England, while this full design of the Royal Arms of England represents the monarch.
