Elton Johns musical career started in 1962 when he formed an R&B group known as Bluesology. He performed with this group until 1967, at which point he spent two years working as a songwriter before launching his solo career. Over the course of the next several decades, his work as a singer, songwriter, composer, and pianist would earn him countless accolades. Among those accolades are five Grammy Awards, five Brit Awards, two Academy Awards, two Golden Globes, and a Tony Award, just to name a few.
