British Britannia Silver Coins debuted in 1997 with 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz silver coins. In 2013, the Royal Mint added 5 oz and 1/20 oz silver coins. The British Britannia Silver Coin originally had sterling silver, or .958, silver content from 1997 to 2012. In 2013, the series increased its silver content to .999 pure silver.
