{{/presale}}American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins feature what is arguably the greatest American coin design of all-time. Some refer to it as the best Liberty design of the 20th century, while others believe it is hands-down the most beautiful design to grace an American coin regardless of the century. Right now, you can get the 2020 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins with a near-perfect certification from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
These near-perfect 2020 American Eagle 1 oz Gold coins from the US Mint come with a protective plastic slab from the NGC. Certified coins are graded on a scale of 1 to 70 known as the Sheldon numeric scale. Once graded, the coins are packaged inside of a sealed protective plastic slab to protect the certified condition.
Obverse
For the obverse design field, 2020 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins come with Lady Libertys image. President Theodore Roosevelt personally commissioned Augustus Saint-Gaudens to create new images for American gold coins and the US penny. This design of Liberty marching away from Washington D.C. as a guiding force for the nation featured on the $20 Gold Double Eagle and became one of the most popular in American history.
Reverse
The reverse of 2020 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins features the image of a family of American bald eagles. Exclusive to the American Eagle Gold Coins, this design from Miley Busiek includes a young hatchling in the nest under the wing of a female eagle as the male eagle flies overhead.
History
American Eagle Gold Coins are the only issues in the American Eagle Series with multiple weights. While the silver, platinum, and palladium coins feature only a 1 oz weight, the American Eagle Gold Coin is struck in 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz weights.
Ordering
These 2020 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins have a grade of Mint State 69 from the NGC. Coins in this condition showcase full, original mint luster with no more than two minor detracting flaws. Acceptable flaws at this level include only minuscule contact marks or hairlines outside the primary focal points of the coin. Early Release labels mean the coins were received for grading within 30 days of the US Mints 2020 release date for American Eagle Gold Coins.
