Obverse
On the obverse side of 2019-W American Eagle Reverse Proof 1 oz Palladium Coins is a depiction of Liberty in left-profile relief. Known as Winged Liberty, her figure wears a winged Phrygian cap. It was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman and featured on the US dime from 1916 to 1945. The design resembled the Roman messenger god Mercury and became known as the Mercury Dime.
Reverse
The reverse face of all 2019-W American Eagle Reverse Proof 1 oz Palladium Coins includes the depiction of an American bald eagle. Designed in 1907 by Weinman, it features the eagle with its wings lifted behind its figure and a sapling clutched in its talons.
History
The American Eagle Reverse Proof 1 oz Palladium Coin had a mintage double that of its predecessors. After two issues at 15,000, the US Mint increased the mintage in 2019 to 30,000 coins and still met with impressive demand from collectors.
