History
Nazareth is described in the Bible as the city in which Jesus Christ was raised by Mary and Joseph. The city is also described as Marys home village and the place where the angel Gabriel informed her that she would give birth to the son of God. Joseph married her and the couple would make a pilgrimage to Bethlehem to partake in a Roman census that would see Jesus born in the latter city. After, however, the couple moved back to Nazareth with the newborn baby Jesus.
