{{/presale}}The Native American Mints Proof Native American Silver Dollar Series of coins pay tribute to the role that indigenous tribes played in the development of North American. The collection features a tribe from each of the 50 states and also from some parts of Canada. The 2019 Proof Maine Passamaquoddy Moose 1 oz Silver Coin recognizes the Passamaquoddy tribe that historically called parts of Maine and part of New Brunswick in Canada home. The tribe belonged to the Wabanaki Confederacy that existed between each of the Algonquin-speaking tribes in the area, prior to Europeans arriving. The coins are made with .999 pure silver and are highly collectible.
Highlights:
The Passamaquoddy tribe relying heavily on the fish they sourced from the North American Atlantic Coast. In fact, in the name of the tribe translated literally to mean Pollock-spearer. Today, there are approximately 3,500 tribal members living primarily in Maine.
The 2019 Proof Maine Passamaquoddy Moose 1 oz Silver Coin also recognizes the magnificent moose, which is the largest and heaviest of members of the deer family. Moose can be found across North America, including Maine.
Obverse

Each of the coins in the Proof Native American Silver Dollar Series has a one-dollar face value, issued by the tribe that is featured on the obverse of the coin.
