{{/presale}}In the third release of Australian Swan Silver Coins, Perth Mint introduced yet another image of the swan in its family unit. More importantly, the 2019 release was the first in the series to feature the new Queen Elizabeth II effigy from Jody Clark. Today, you have the opportunity to get 2019 Australian Swan 1 oz Silver Coins online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Swans are closely related to geese within the animal kingdom. Though there were once many various species of swan on planet Earth, today there are just six extant species of swan. While most reside within the Northern Hemisphere, there is one swan species native to Australia. In fact, the city of Perth was founded in 1829 as the Swan River Colony.
Obverse
The obverse of 2019 Australian Swan 1 oz Silver Coins features an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here right-profile relief. This sixth-generation design for the Perth Mint debuted in 2016 on Royal Mint coinage as the fifth-generation British design. It shows the Queen at the age of 89 wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown. The design makes its debut in the Australian Swan Series with these 2019 coins. Inscriptions on this side include ELIZABETH II, 2019, AUSTRALIA, and 1 DOLLAR.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2019 Australian Swan Silver Coins is a depiction of a family of swans. In the foreground, you will notice an adult with its young hatchling. In the background, you will see the image of another adult swan swimming along the water. Inscriptions on this face of the coin read THE 1 OZ 9999 AUSTRALIAN SILVER SWAN and the P mint mark of Perth Mint.
History
While the Australian Swan is in the same genre as the Australian Kookaburra, Koala, and Kangaroo coins, it is not quite like those coins. Each of those are major bullion specimens with higher volumes produced each year. The Australian Swan is more akin to the Australian Wedge Tail and Australian Emu. While all of these coins, except the Kangaroo, change reverse designs each year, only the Wedge Tail, Emu, and Swan have set mintage caps that are much lower.
Ordering
These 2019 Australian Swan 1 oz Silver Coins are available individually and in bulk. Individual coins ship in plastic capsules, while multiples arrive in rolls of 20 coins.
