{{/presale}}For many investors, silver offers a valuable hedge against economic and geopolitical turmoil. And there’s no better way to get peace of mind through silver than with the American Silver Eagle.
First issued in 1986, the American Silver Eagle is the world’s most popular silver bullion coin. It is the only silver coin guaranteed by the United States government for its weight, purity, and face value. Silver Eagles are popular with collectors and investors alike for their perfect blend of pure silver, timeless design, and low premium over spot price.
So don’t wait to add one of these sought-after and thoroughly-American classics to your precious metals portfolio!
Designed by sculptor Adolph Weinman, the obverse features the full-length figure of Lady Liberty walking proudly towards a rising sun and the nation’s bright future. Her shoulders are wrapped in the billowing American flag, with her right hand extended toward the horizon. She carries laurel branches in her left arm, symbolizing America’s civic and military greatness. This iconic design is boldly engraved with the inscriptions “LIBERTY” and “IN GOD WE TRUST,” along with the year of issue.
The American Silver Eagle’s captivating, symmetrical reverse, designed by former US Mint Chief Engraver John Mercanti, hearkens to the great seal of the United States. A heraldic eagle with outstretched wings carries a banner in its beak that reads “E PLURIBUS UNUM (out of many, one)”. It clutches the olive branch of peace and the arrows of war in its talons. A striped shield protects the great bird, while 13 stars representing the original colonies soar above its head. Also included are inscriptions of the coin’s weight, purity, and legal tender value.
For over 225 years, the US Mint has been one of the premier producers of precious metal bullion coins on earth. Their products, revered the world over for superb craftsmanship and design, celebrate America’s storied history, symbolic icons, and enduring spirit. American Silver Eagles were first minted in 1986, and are produced with silver mined exclusively in the United States. They remain one of the most sought-after bullion coins in the world among collectors and investors. Since 2001, Silver Eagles have been minted at the West Point branch of the US Mint. Additional US Mint facilities are located in San Francisco, Denver, and Philadelphia.
Single Silver Eagles ship in a plastic flip to protect the coin from damage. Quantities of 20 ship in plastic tubes. Quantities of 500 ship in a monster box, when available.
