{{/presale}}The single-most-popular silver coin in the world is the American Eagle Silver Coin. Available from the United States Mint each year with a 1 oz silver coin as the only option. Selling millions of units each year, the American Eagle tops all others and offers beautiful images of American liberty and freedom. Today, you have the opportunity to purchase 2019 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins with a certification online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins set countless sales records for the program in the 2000s. The highest mark ever was 47 million coins in 2015. Since that time, the mintage of the coins has dropped as the overall demand for silver bullion has cooled off.
Obverse
On the obverse side of the 2019 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin, you will find the depiction of Walking Liberty created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman. This image was originally used on the obverse of the Walking Liberty Half Dollar circulation coin. Liberty is shown in left-profile relief as she walks from right to left across the design field with her right hand outstretched toward the horizon and the American flag over her shoulders.
Reverse
The reverse face of 2019 American Eagle Silver Coins includes the heraldic eagle of the United States. Created by John Mercanti, the former Chief Engraver of the United States, this image is historic. The heraldic eagle has featured on American circulation coins since 1792 and was modified for this series in 1986. It features the American bald eagle with the national shield on its chest, arrows in one talon, and an olive branch in the other. Above its head is a triangular cluster of 13 stars representing the original American colonies.
History
The American Eagle Silver Coins are available annually in three different versions. The bullion coins are the best-selling options, while the proof and burnished coins are available as collectible options.
