Highlights:
The Griffin is a beast that originates from the mythology of the Greeks and Romans. The creature is believed to be the king of all animals in the world. Its body is a combination of an eagles head and the body of a lion. The lion is the King of the Jungle and the eagle is the King of the Birds, making the combined mythical symbol the king of all animals.

Designed in 2015, this portrait of the Queen is the fifth to feature on British coins during her reign and features the Queen at the age of 89. She is in right-profile relief and wears the George IV State Diadem Crown, a piece in the Crown Jewels with a total of 1,333 diamonds in its setting weighing more than 300 karats. Inscriptions on this face include 100 Pounds, Elizabeth II, and D.G. Reg F.D.
