{{/presale}}The Queens Beast series of silver coins was imagined as a way to commemorate the set of beasts and heraldic animals that were presented as statues to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at her coronation. The Black Bull was the symbol used by King Edward IV, who belonged to the House of York. The 2018 British Queens Beast Black Bull 2 oz Silver Coin features the Black Bull of Clarence and is the 5th design released in the Queens Beast Series.
Coin Highlights:
The 2018 British Queens Beast Black Bull 2 oz Silver Coin has a grade of mint state (MS) of 69. These coins are referred to as being near-perfect coins. Each coin has the original mint luster and a maximum of two very small flaws that could possibly detract from the perfect status. Some examples of acceptable flaws could include hairlines and minor contact marks.
The coin features the Black Bull. King Edward IV introduced the bull in his heraldic symbolism. King Edward IV took the throne in 1461 and was the first monarch from the House of York to rule.
Obverse Design
The obverse design of the 2018 British Queens Beast Black Bull 2 oz Silver Coin features the fifth-generation portrait of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. This right-profile portrait was created by Jody Clark, for the British Royal Mint in 2015. Her Majesty is featured wearing earrings and the Diadem Crown on her head.
Reverse Design
The reverse design of the 2018 British Queens Beast Black Bull 2 oz Silver Coin features the image of a large and imposing black bull, providing protection to the shield of King Edward IV. The black bull is one of the English heraldic symbols, most often associated with courage, passion, and transformation. The quartered shield features the Three Lions of England in two of the quadrants. The other two feature the golden French fleur-de-lis. This shield was indicative of the claim to the French throne.
The Queens Beast series of coins, issued by the Royal Mint, ship to you in flawless or near-flawless condition. They are great additions to any collection.
