{{/presale}}American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins debuted from the United States Mint in 1986. The coins have seen demand ebb and flow with time over the course of more than three decades in production. As the markets fluctuate and the value of silver changes, so too does the demand for silver. Provident Metals now has 2018 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins available to you for purchase online in near-perfect condition.
Highlights:
When you buy the 2018 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin available in this listing, the items you receive come with a near-perfect certification. A Mint State 69 coin showcases full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. Those flaws consist only of minuscule contact marks or hairlines and must be located outside of the primary focal points of the coin.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2018 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins depicts Walking Liberty. This iconic design features Liberty walking in left-profile relief toward the sun on the horizon. The sun crests a mountain peak in the distance as Liberty walks toward the sun with her right hand outstretched and her left hand carrying branches of oak and laurel.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2018 American Eagle Silver Coins is an image of the heraldic eagle of the United States. This design was created in 1986 by John Mercanti and debuted on the American Eagle Silver bullion coins. It features the bald eagle with the US national shield on its chest, the arrows of war in one talon, and its head facing the olive branch of peace it clutches in the other talon.
History
American Eagle Silver Coins hit unprecedented highs in the 2010s. Through the first six issues of the decade, 2010-2015, the coin sold 34 million, 40 million, 33 million, 42 million, 44 million, and 44 million coins, respectively. Starting in 2016, demand for the coins sagged as the global economy began to surge into growth territory following the global recession and its slow initial rebound. The mintage of American Eagle Silver Coins declined each year from 2016 to 2019, falling from 37.7 million in 2016 to just 15.032 million coins in 2019.
