The coins are individually encapsulated and set inside of a slot in the box on a portion that can be raised to a 45-degree angle for display within the box. The black box has a closeable lid and the entire thing ships inside of a black shipping box.
Included with your purchase is a Certificate of Authenticity for the coin. The Certificate of Authenticity book includes information on the history of the mint and the striking new design featured on these coins.
Obverse
The obverse field of the 2017-W 225th Anniversary American Liberty 1 oz Gold Coin features a depiction of Liberty with African-American features. She is shown wearing a brilliant crown of large stars with her hair held back in a bun. The word Liberty is inscribed in large letters above her head, while In God We Trust is inscribed below in all capitals. The commemorative date marks of 1792 and 2017 are featured on either side of the bust of Liberty.
Reverse
On the reverse face of the 2017-W 225th Anniversary American Liberty 1 oz Gold Coin is a depiction of the American bald eagle soaring powerfully in flight. It is flying from left to right across the field. United States of America and E Pluribus Unum are inscribed above the eagle, 1 oz .9999 Fine Gold is inscribed behind the eagle. 100 Dollars is inscribed below the design. You will also find the W mint mark of the West Point Mint on this face.
History
The American Liberty 1 oz Gold Coin is a beautiful 24-karat specimen that has a high-relief strike that creates greater depth with the high-pressure strike of the design. There is also an edge inscription on these coins that denotes 225th Anniversary.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
