{{/presale}}Did you spot the beautiful Snowy Owl in this colorized silver coin? The 2017 Canadian Landscape Illusion Snowy Owl 1 oz Silver Coin Proof is a charming addition to your collection. The design was created by artist Julius T. Csotonvi and brings to life an optical illusion that is all at once elegant and delightful. The artists creativity might just play tricks on your eyes, hiding the Snowy Owl within the snow-covered landscape. This design is the 5th and last coin in the Landscape Illusions series released by the Royal Canadian Mint. It contains 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure silver and is highly collectible due to the limited mintage figures.
Highlights:
The Landscape Illusions series showcases the beautiful and diverse wildlife that calls Canada home, with artwork that also shows off the vistas and views that can be seen around the country.
At first glance, the coin design appears to show a mountain visa, with rugged snow-covered peaks. A second look will show you something entirely different featured in the center of the coin.
Obverse
The obverse design of the 2017 Canadian Landscape Illusion Snowy Owl 1 oz Silver Coin Proof features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, designed in 2003 by artist Susanna Blunt. Her Majesty is featured on all Canadian coinage, whether circulation or collectible.
Reverse
The reverse design of the 2017 Canadian Landscape Illusion Snowy Owl 1 oz Silver Coin Proof features a colorized design of a snow-covered mountain landscape, in what must be the Canadian Rockies. A closer look at the line of pine trees and the mountain peak and youll quickly see that there is an image of s large snow owl with its large wings spread wide as if to take off at any second.
Each of the 2017 Canadian Landscape Illusion Snowy Owl 1 oz Silver Coin Proofs are delivered in a protective maroon clamshell inside of a graphic beauty box. The other coins in the series feature Canadian animals that include an antelope, salmon, butterfly and mountain goats.
