Highlights:
Burnished ATB Silver Coins are available from the United States Mint as one of the two versions of the coin struck for each design. First, the silver blanks are polished, or burnished, in a drum with a polishing medium. Blanks are removed individually by gloved hands, struck in the coining presses, and removed by gloved hands for immediate packaging.
