{{/presale}}Introduced in 2017, the American Eagle Palladium Coins debuted with a limited-mintage issue of Brilliant Uncirculated coins. Subsequent issues of the coin were offered with higher mintages in 2018 and 2019, with the lowest mintage of the series in 2020. Right now, you can buy near-perfect 2017 American Eagle 1 oz Palladium Coins online from Provident Metals.
Highlights:
With your purchase of the 2017 American Eagle 1 oz Palladium Coin in this Provident Metals listing, you will receive a coin that is in near-perfect condition. Coins in Mint State 69 condition exhibit full, original mint luster and have a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. Acceptable flaws at this level are limited to minuscule contact marks or hairlines and are limited in scope to the areas outside of the primary focal points of the coin. First Strike labels are for those coins received by the PCGS within 30 days of the original issue date.
Obverse
Winged Liberty features on the obverse side of 2017 American Eagle Palladium Coins. The design was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman and originally used on the US dime until 1945. The design shows Liberty in left-profile relief with a winged Phrygian cap. The inscriptions on the coins read Liberty, In God We Trust, 2017, and the AW signature mark of Weinman.
Reverse
An American bald eagle is found in the reverse field of the 2017 American Eagle 1 oz Palladium Coin. This design was also created by Weinman, but a decade earlier and for a different purpose. It debuted on the American Institute of Architects gold medal in 1907. It shows the bald eagle clutching a small sapling in its talons as it sits perched on a cliff edge. Inscriptions on this face include United States of America, $25, 1 oz. Pd .9999 Fine, and E Pluribus Unum.
History
The American Eagle Palladium Coin is the third in the American Eagle Series to feature a historic US coin design. Weinmans Walking Liberty design from the 1916-1947 half dollar graces the American Eagle Silver Coin, while Augustus Saint-Gaudens Liberty design from the 1907-1933 Double Eagle Gold Coin features on the American Eagle Gold Coin.
