A 25-piece set of 2017 1 oz Canadian Silver Maples, manufactured by the Royal Canadian Mint, is now offered by Provident Metals. This collection of silver bullion rounds comes in a Mint-issued plastic tube. Each coin within the tube is made of 1 troy ounce of .9999 fine silver. The Silver Maple characteristically features a reeded edge, a BU finish, and fields micro-inscribed with radial lines. A more recent addition to the coin is the privy mark shaped like a maple leaf and laser engraved with the coin’s year of origin.
The Canadian Silver Maple’s obverse features an elegant portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, which is brilliantly contrasted against the field of radial lines. This well-known design is completed with inscriptions of “ELIZABETH II,” “5 DOLLARS,” and “2017.”
Each coin’s reverse displays the five-pointed maple leaf, Canada’s national symbol, surrounded by a field of radial lines. Next to the leaf’s stem, you will notice the aforementioned privy mark. This addition was made by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2014 to prevent counterfeiting. Inscriptions on this side of the coin read “CANADA,” “FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR,” and “9999.”
In addition to Canada’s circulation coins, the Royal Canadian Mint manufactures precious metal bullion coins, a variety of medallions, and related services. The Mint’s proprietary bullion DNA technology offers both security and a method of authentication. Because the Silver Maples are certified by a sovereign government, they have a legal tender value in addition to the investment value you seek.
Your order of 25 Canadian Silver Maples will be shipped in brilliant uncirculated condition as received from the Mint. Individual coins in plastic flips and Mint-sealed Monster Boxes containing 500 Silver Maples are also available.
For another method of storage that allows for ease of visibility, consider protecting your bullion coins with 38.1mm Silver Maple Air-Tites.
The Canadian Silver Maple is regarded as the world’s first pure silver bullion coin, making it a common commodity for investors and collectors alike. Since 1988, the Royal Canadian Mint has released a new Silver Maple annually. Add to your investment portfolio with a tube of 2017 Canadian Silver Maples.
