{{/presale}}The Perth Mint issued a number of mythological collections between 2014 and 2017 honoring various deities from ancient civilizations. Following its popular Gods of Olympus (2014) and Goddesses of Olympus (2015) series, the Perth Mint moved into Norse mythology with the release of a 2016 Norse Gods collection. Right now, you can buy perfect condition 2016 Tuvalu Norse Gods Loki High Relief 2 oz Silver Coins online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
With your purchase of the 2016 Tuvalu Norse Gods Loki High Relief 2 oz Silver Coin comes a protective plastic slab from the NGC to protect the perfect certification of the coin. A PF70 specimen exhibits full, original mint luster and has no detracting flaws of any kind present on the elements or fields. Additionally, these coins come with a First Release label identifying each as a coin received for grading within the opening 30-day window following release from the Perth Mint.
Obverse
The obverse face of 2016 Tuvalu Norse Gods Loki High Relief 2 oz Silver Coins comes with a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is captured here in right-profile relief in a design created by Ian Rank-Broadley. Developed in 1998 for the Royal Mint of England, this portrait of the Queen was widely used throughout the Commonwealth. It featured on British coins from 1998 to 2015, Australian coins from 1999 to 2017/2018, and is still in use on denominations from Niue, Tuvalu, and the Cook Islands.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2016 Tuvalu Norse Gods Loki High Relief Silver Coins is the image of the God of Fire himself. Loki is considered a mischievous god who looks to cause trouble when and where he can. He often creates trouble simply by shape-shifting and doing his ill deeds in the form of another person or animal to redirect blame and suspicion.
History
The Norse Gods Series from the Perth Mint featured three releases in all, with each available with a 2016 date mark. The first design depicted Odin, the king of the gods in Norse mythology, followed by his son Thor, the god of thunder. Loki is the third and final design. All coins feature an antique polish on rimless blanks for that old-world charm in the visuals. Further, the high-relief strike creates greater visual depth for the 3D engravings.
