{{/presale}}There is just something about a snake that will strike fear into the hearts of humans and other mammals alike. Snakes are some of the most feared creatures in the world. Their deadly venom, particularly the venom of the King Cobra, can bring down even the strongest of mammals, and of course men. The 2016 Niue Kings of the Continents King Cobra 1 oz Silver Coin pays tribute to this fearsome yet handsome snake. The coin is the 3rd release in the Kings of the Continents series of silver coins issued by the New Zealand Mint. The coins contain 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver.
Highlights:
The 2016 Niue Kings of the Continents King Cobra 1 oz Silver Coin is the 3rd design released in the Kings of the Continents Series. Coins in this release schedule feature new designs on the reverse of each coin, with colorized images representing a different animal found in specific regions of the world. This coin features the King Cobra.
King Cobras get their name from the set of 11 scales seen on the back of their heads. These 11 scales combine to form an image that looks much like a crown. The beautiful but fearsome snakes can grow up to 24 feet in length. They typically are found inhabiting the jungles of Asia and India, stretching from southeastern China across the Malay Peninsula and into the Philippine Islands.
Each of the 2016 Niue Kings of the Continents King Cobra 1 oz Silver Coin is in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition.
