The 2016 Proof Cook Islands Norse God Freyr 2 oz Silver Coin features the god Freyr. Freyr, sometimes referred to just as Frey, is widely associated with battle and peace, virility, prosperity and sunshine, and good weather. Freyr is also associated with a good harvest. These coins contain 2 Troy oz of .999 pure silver and are highly collectible amongst collectors and investors. The coins have a face value of $10 and are considered to be legal tender in the Cook Islands.
Coin Highlights:
The Norse Gods Silver Series, produced by Germanys BH Mayer Mint, features 9 well-designed coins that feature some of the best-known characters Norse mythology. The series began with designs featuring Odin and Thor, and later progressed into featuring several of the other gods and goddesses featured in Norse mythology.
Freyr was associated with battle and peace but was also known to be the god overseeing the weather and sunshine. These coins have an ultra-high-relief proof finish and an interesting 3D appearance.
The coins are delivered in a themed display case, along with a commemorative box. Also included is a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
Obverse
The obverse design of the 2016 Proof Cook Islands Norse God Freyr 2 oz Silver Coin features the 1998 right-profile effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The portrait was designed by famed sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley.
Reverse
The reverse design of the 2016 Proof Cook Islands Norse God Freyr 2 oz Silver Coin features depictions of sunshine and rain, which is a nod to Freyrs status as being the overseeing of the weather and the elements. Also featured are the words Norse Gods and Freyrs name written in Norse.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
