{{/presale}}The United States Mint released one of its first-ever high-relief coins in 2009 when it reissued a commemorative $20 Double Eagle Gold bullion coin. In 2015, yet another beautiful high-relief gold coin was issued. This time, the coin featured new images of Liberty and the bald eagle designed in the 21st century for 21st-century collectors. Provident Metals now has perfect condition 2015-W American Liberty 1 oz Gold Coins in High Relief for you to purchase online.
Highlights:
When you purchase a 2015-W American Liberty 1 oz Gold Coin through this product listing, the item you receive from Provident Metals comes with a Mint State 70 certification. Coins with an MS70 certification showcase full, original mint luster and no detracting flaws of any kind on the designs or fields of the coin.
Varied labels are possible with your coin purchase, but Provident Metals cannot guarantee the presence of these labels. All items are chosen at random once your payment has cleared. We select your coins based on availability at that point in time. We only guarantee your coin has the American Liberty designs and an MS70 certification. All other factors are determined at random and you could get coins with matching grading house and additional labels when buying more than one.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2015 American Liberty 1 oz Gold Coin is an image of Lady Liberty. This younger depiction of Liberty shows her figure with a crown wreath on her head, a large torch in her right hand, and an American flag on a small flagpole in her left hand. This field of the coin has inscriptions of Liberty, 2015, and In God We Trust. The designer behind the image and the sculptor who created the die have their initials on this face as well.
Reverse
The reverse side of the 2015-W American Liberty Gold Coin features an American bald eagle gliding in flight. As the bird glides through the air, its talons clutch a branch. The inscriptions on this side read United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, 1 oz .9999 Fine Gold, One Hundred Dollars, and the W mint mark of the West Point Mint.
History
Justin Kunz designed the image of Liberty on the obverse with Phebe Hemphill in charge of sculpting. Paul C. Balan designed the reverse bald eagle image and Don Everhart created the sculpt. This design was used in 2016 when the US Mint issued an American Liberty Silver Medal.
