Captain Sisko was featured in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, which aired between 1993 and 1999. These silver coins contain .999 pure silver. They are popular collectibles amongst fans of Star Trek.

Gene Roddenberrys Star Trek was first launched onto American television in the 1960s. Each of the captains featured on the shows and in the movies that followed, have been striking characters with great stories and depth. The Deep Space Nine coin, featuring Captain Benjamin Sisko, pays homage to this captain and the trials he faced while trying to maintain order upon Deep Space Nine.
Obverse Design
The obverse design features the right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II that is used on coins issued in Tuvalu. The effigy of Her Majesty is encircled by an engraving of her name above her, and 1 Dollar Tuvalu 2015 beneath. This portrait of Queen Elizabeth II was designed by renowned sculptor Ian Rank-Broadly.
Reverse Design
The reverse design of this coin features a colorized image of Avery Brooks, the actor who played the role of Captain Sisko. In the background of the design are images depicting Deep Space Nine. The weight and purity of the coin is depictured on the reverse of the coin, along with the signature P mint mark from the Perth Mint. The reverse of this coin was designed by Perth Mint engraver Jennifer McKenna.
