{{/presale}}The 2015 Proof Montana Crow Timber Wolf 1 oz Silver Coin is the third design released in the Native American Mint series of silver dollar coins. The design on this coin pays tribute to the Crow Tribe of Montana. Calling Billings, Montana home today, the Crow Nations territory once reached as far as the Ohio Valley. The coin is made with 1 Troy oz of .999 pure silver. It is considered to be highly collectible, both by investors and by those who have an appreciation for the history and artwork of Native Americans. Those who collect these coins anticipate the release of the new design each year.
Highlights:
The 2015 Proof Montana Crow Timber Wolf 1 oz Silver Coin recognizes the people of the Crow Nation. This proud people once called the Ohio Valley region home. They were, however, forced out of their home by the Iron Confederacy of the Ojibwe and Cree peoples. These tribes had already traded for firearms, which gave them a distinct advantage during battle.
The Crow people were soon forced to settle in a small area, just south of Lake Winnipeg, Canada. Their comfort didnt last long as they were soon pushed out of that home by the Cheyenne, and then relocated out of the Dakotas by the Lakota (Sioux) tribes. With just 12,000 enrolled tribe members, the Crow reservation can be found in Montana.
