The coins in this collection have proven incredibly popular amongst collectors and investors both, with each design being highly appreciated upon release. The Birds of Prey Series of coins was the second wildlife-themed series released by the Royal Canadian Mint. The mint has a reputation for producing some of the most interesting designs in the world. The coins contain 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure silver and have a face value of $5, backed by the Canadian government.

The coins in the Birds of Prey series were first released in 2014. The first release was the beautifully designed peregrine falcon. The 2015 Canadian Great Horned Owl 1 oz Silver Coin was preceded by the bald eagle coin in 2014 and the red tailed hawk in 2015.
The image featured on the 2015 Canadian Great Horned Owl 1 oz Silver Coin was inspired by well-known Canadian artist Emily Damstra. Damstra designed the final two coins in the Canadian Wildlife Series. Her work was so widely appreciated that the Royal Canadian Mint requested that she design all of the coins in the Birds of Prey Series.
Your 2015 Canadian Great Horned Owl 1 oz Silver Coin has been issued a grade of MS70 from the NGC. Coins with this rating have their full, original mint luster, and no detracting flaws of any kind.
Obverse
The obverse design of the 2015 Canadian Great Horned Owl 1 oz Silver Coin features the right-profile effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is Englands longest-reigning monarch. Her portraits have been shown on coins in England and across the commonwealth since she ascended to the throne.
Reverse
The reverse design of the 2015 Canadian Great Horned Owl 1 oz Silver Coin features the Great Horned Owl design imagined by artist Emily Damstra. The image shows the large regal bird swooping down on its prey.
