{{/presale}}The 2015 Kisatchie National Forest 5 oz Silver Coin is a continuation of the US Mint’s Silver Bullion Coin Program, which features many of the natural wonders offered by America’s diverse biomes. Like others in this series, the 2015 Kisatchie Silver Coin is composed of 5 ounces of .999 Fine Silver, and qualifies for self-directed precious metals IRAs.
Each five ounce coin in Silver Bullion Coin series is a reproduction of the America the Beautiful Quarters design from the U.S. Mint. The Kisatchie National Forest 5 oz coin is the second ATB release in 2015, following the Homestead National Monument. Kisatchie is the 27th strike in the series that launched in 2010 and will continue through at least 2021.
Established in 1930, Kisatchie is Louisiana’s only National forest. Kisatchie’s piney woodland covers 604,000 acres — or 944 square miles. Along with its diverse assemblage of plant and animal species, Kisatchie is known for the diversity of recreational activities it offers, such as hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, horseback riding and more.
The reverse of the ATB 5 oz Kisatchie Coin features a wild turkey flying over a grass-covered plain adjacent to a piney forest. “KISATCHIE,” “LOUISIANA,” “E PLURIBUS UNUM” and “2015” are inscribed around the rim of the coin.
The obverse depicts a familiar portrait of former president George Washington. Inscriptions around his image read “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “QUARTER DOLLAR.”
Each coin in the America the Beautiful Series carries a legal tender value of $0.25, though the 5 ounces of .999 fine silver make each a significant investment in Silver Bullion. Each of these coins was produced by the US Mint with IRA minting and metal purity standards, which qualifies each to be included in a Precious Metals IRA.
All 2015 America the Beautiful Coins ship in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, precisely as we receive them from the US Mint. Individual coins ship in a plastic capsule, quantities of 10 ship in a tube, and quantities of 100 ship in a monster box. Quantities that ship in tubes or monster boxes will not ship with plastic capsules.
While each ATB five ounce silver coin is beautifully designed, it’s possible the coins will arrive from the US Mint with scratch marks, rim dings, die polishing and other blemishes. Provident Metals does not select particular coins to distribute, so each coin will ship as is from the US Mint.
