{{/presale}}The Arctic Fox Gold Coin from the Royal Canadian Mint was one of the first in an expanding series of other gold bullion coins from Canada. Issued outside of its popular Canadian Maple Leaf, the Arctic Fox Gold Coin is another 24-karat gold option for investors to choose from when looking at Royal Canadian Mint products. Provident Metals currently has 2014 Canadian Arctic Fox 1/4 oz Gold Coins available to you for purchase online.
Highlights:
When you buy the 2014 Canadian Arctic Fox 1/4 oz Gold Coin in this Provident Metals listing, the item you receive comes with an individual protective plastic flip. The design element on the reverse of these coins was created by Maurice Gervais, a noted Canadian outdoor-and-wildlife artist. He has had several works of art featured on Royal Canadian Mint bullion coins.
Obverse
Queen Elizabeth II is found on the obverse side of 2014 Canadian Arctic Fox 1/4 oz Gold Coins. This design was created in 2003 by Susanna Blunt as the fourth-generation portrait of Her Majesty. This is the first portrait of the Queen during her reign to lack a crown on her head and just the second in Canadian history with a work of art from a Canadian artist. The inscriptions on this face of the coin read Elizabeth II, 10 Dollars, and 2014.
Reverse
An Arctic Fox is depicted in the reverse design element of the 2014 Canadian Arctic Fox Gold Coin. This design from Maurice Gervais shows the fox in its natural habitat on the tundra. The fox is shown standing amidst the windswept landscape with a tree line visible in the distance behind it as it looks back over its shoulder. Inscriptions on this side of the coin include Canada, 9999, and Fine Gold 1/4 oz Or Pur.
History
The Arctic Fox is one of the few native animal species in the Arctic region of the world. With a dense, white coat, the fox is not only capable of surviving the harsh weather, but it is also capable of hiding within the landscape courtesy of its white coat.
