{{/presale}}The final release of the America the Beautiful Series in 2014 focused on Everglades National Park, one of the most famous protected wetlands in the United States. Issued on behalf of Florida in the collection, the Everglades coin was available in bullion and burnished options with certified versions also available. Right now, you can get 2014 ATB Everglades 5 oz Silver Coins in near-perfect condition online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
The 2014 ATB Everglades 5 oz Silver Coin available to you in this product listing comes with a Mint State 69 certification from the PCGS. Coins in this condition exhibit full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. These flaws are limited in nature to minuscule contact marks or hairlines and limited in scope to those areas outside of the primary focal points of the coin.
Obverse
President George Washington is depicted on the obverse of 2014 ATB Everglades 5 oz Silver Coins. This design is a left-profile portrait of the president and was created in 1932. This image has featured on the US circulation quarter since 1932. Washington was chosen for the quarter in that year because it marked the 200th anniversary of his birth. This portrait replaced the Standing Liberty quarter design that had been suspended in 1930.
Reverse
An anhinga is depicted standing on a sunken branch as a Roseate spoonbill wades in the waters of the Everglades in the reverse design of 2014 ATB Everglades 5 oz Silver Coins. The Everglades is a massive marsh and marine ecosystem that covers vast stretches of the southern portion of the Florida peninsula. Today, the remaining Everglades covers 20% of the Florida peninsula.
History
The Everglades National Park is the largest tropical wilderness in the United States and the largest wilderness area of any kind in the United States east of the Mississippi River. Since 1979, it has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
Ordering
These 2014 ATB Everglades 5 oz Silver Coins are available to you inside of a protective plastic slab. These coins are also recognized as DMPL specimens, or deeply-mirrored, proof-like coins in the bullion series.
