{{/presale}}The American Eagle Silver Series has been available from the United States Mint since 1986. Originally offered in BU and Proof versions each year, the series now features a Burnished coin as well that was introduced in 2006 during the 20th-anniversary release of the coins. The BU American Eagle Silver Coins remains the best-seller in the series. Provident Metals carries 2014 American Eagle Silver NGC Gem Rolls with an Early Release label for you to purchase.
Highlights:
When you purchase one of these 2014 American Eagle Silver Gem Rolls at Provident Metals, you will receive a set of 20 individual 2014 American Eagle Silver Coins. The 20 coins are housed inside of a protective NGC Gem Roll from the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation. All of the coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and come with an Early Release designation. This indicates the NGC received the coins from the US Mint within 30 days of the initial release date.
Obverse
Walking Liberty is found on the obverse field of 2014 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins. This design was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman. The US Mint first used it on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar coin from 1916 to 1947. The inscriptions on this face of the coin read Liberty, In God We Trust, and 2014. In the design, Liberty walks from right to left across the design element with her right hand outstretched and her left hand carrying branches of oak and laurel.
Reverse
The heraldic eagle of the United States is found on the reverse side of 2014 American Eagle Silver Coins. The heraldic eagle has been adjusted and modernized several times throughout US Mint history, with this latest version of the seal being created in 1986 by John Mercanti. This vision of the eagle comes with the bird in front-facing relief as it supports the US national shield. The eagle clutches the olive branch of peace and the arrows of war in its talons. There is also a triangular cluster of 13 stars over its head. The inscriptions on this side include United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, and 1 oz. Fine Silver One Dollar.
History
The 2014 release of American Eagle Silver Coins set a record at the time with 44.006 million coins sold. That figure remains the second-highest mintage in a single year behind only the 2015 coin and its final mintage of 47 million coins.
