{{/presale}}Investors were disappointed to say goodbye to the Fiji Taku bullion coin in 2013 — thanks to changes in governmental licensing agreements — but the New Zealand Mint has unveiled a new silver coin to be released in its stead: the 2014 1 oz Silver Niue Hawksbill Turtle.
Composed of .999 fine silver, each coin features the image of a hawksbill sea turtle swimming in the Pacific, similar to the original Fiji Taku coin. It is inscribed with the words TURTLE and 1 OZ 999 FINE SILVER.
The obverse features Ian Rank Broadley’s portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. It is inscribed with the words QUEEN ELIZABETH II, NIUE, TWO DOLLARS and 2014.
Produced by the Sunshine Mint, investors can now order the 2014 1 oz Silver Niue Hawksbill Turtle from Provident Metals. Get yours while supplies last!
About the Hawksbill Turtle
Classified as critically endangered by the World Conservation Union, the hawksbill sea turtle was once the earth’s key source of decorative tortoiseshell.
Living primarily within coral reefs, the omnivorous reptiles’ favorite source of food is the sea sponge — making it one of the world’s only creatures known as a “spongivore.”
