{{/presale}}The coins of the America the Beautiful Series reflect the natural wonders and historical markers of the United States of America. Each state and territory is reflected in the 56-coin release with its own distinctive reverse design. New Hampshire is represented in the collection with the mighty peak at Mount Chocorua. Provident Metals currently has the 2013 Colorized ATB White Mountain 5 oz Silver Coin available to you for online purchasing.
Highlights:
When you purchase the 2013 Colorized ATB White Mountain 5 oz Silver Coin in this product listing, the item you receive is individually packaged inside of a protective plastic capsule. Each one of the coins is available to you in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins in this release are BU versions of the ATB Series that have been given an added layer of colorization.
The United States Mint does not colorize any of the coins it produces and releases for sale. These BU items have been procured by an authorized third-party dealer who then applies the colorization to a select few to create unique visuals.
Obverse
President George Washington features on the obverse of 2013 Colorized ATB White Mountain 5 oz Silver Coins. This portrait is a modified version of the original 1932 design from John Flanagan. Mr. Flanagan created his bust of President Washington for the US Quarter in 1932 to mark the place of the first presidents face on the coins in place of the Standing Liberty design. Washington was chosen for the quarter in 1932, in large part, to honor his 200th birthday.
Reverse
Mount Chocorua is featured on the reverse of all 2013 Colorized ATB White Mountain 5 oz Silver Coins. Mount Chocorua is the easternmost peak of the Sandwich Range in the White Mountains. The White Mountains cover a vast stretch of New Hampshire and a small portion of neighboring Maine. Part of the Appalachian Mountains, the White Mountains are the most rugged in New England.
History
White Mountain National Forest was authorized with the passage of the Weeks Act of 1911 by the US Congress. Established in 1918, the National Forest covers 750,852 acres and is unique in that a small slice of the park, just 5% of its total land area, extends into neighboring Maine.
