{{/presale}}The first release of 2013 in the America the Beautiful collection comes from the United States Mint as a representative of the state of New Hampshire. White Mountain National Forest is depicted on the reverse field of the coin with the image of Mount Chocorua in the background field. Today, you have the chance to purchase 2013 ATB White Mountain 5 oz Silver Coin online at Provident Metals in near-perfect condition.
Highlights:
White Mountain National Forest is federally managed land in the state of New Hampshire that encompasses a total of 750,852 acres of land. The park itself was established in 1918, but the federal purchase of lands that would eventually encompass the park began as early as 1914.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2013 ATB White Mountain 5 oz Silver Coin is a depiction of President George Washington. This design was created in 1932 by John Flanagan for use on the US quarter. It replaced the relatively unpopular Standing Liberty quarter design that had been in production from 1916 to 1930.
Reverse
The reverse side of the 2013 ATB White Mountain 5 oz Silver Coins depicts a scene from within White Mountain National Forest. The design focuses on a clearing in the forest in which you can see a body of water at the foot of Mount Chocorua in the state of New Hampshire. The mountain is on the easternmost edge of the Sandwich Range of mountains and has an elevation of 3,490 feet.
History
Of the 750,000 acres of land that encompass White Mountain National Forest, the vast majority is in the state of New Hampshire. However, just over 5% of the forests protected land is in the neighboring state of Maine.
