Each 2012 Chinese Panda 1/10 oz Gold Coin is securely housed in a sealed plastic pouch. This 2012 edition features a design that was used only for this year, making it a distinctive addition to the series. From 1982 through 2015, the 1/10 oz coin was part of the program, later replaced in 2016 by the 3 Gram Gold Panda Coin.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2012 Chinese Panda Gold Coin highlights the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests, a centerpiece of the Temple of Heaven Complex in Beijing. Built in the early 1400s, this stunning structure is a Taoist religious landmark with deep historical and cultural significance.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2012 Panda 1/10 oz Gold Coins, an adult Giant Panda is shown alongside its cub. This touching design reflects the nurturing nature of pandas, as mothers spend a significant amount of time teaching their cubs survival skills in their early years.
History
Giant pandas are known for a peculiar habit called “handstanding” when marking their territory. By walking backward up a tree and lifting their hind legs, they can leave scent marks higher up. This behavior may help make their markings more prominent to other pandas, particularly during the mating season.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
