{{/presale}}The America the Beautiful Series from the United States Mint debuted in 2010. The 56-coin collection offers five fresh designs each year representing a different historical site, monument, or other federally protected sites in the US from each of the 50 US states, five overseas territories, and the District of Columbia. Each jurisdiction appears in the series from oldest to youngest based on the date that the chosen site was made a federally protected unit in the US. Provident Metals currently offers the 2010-P Burnished ATB Grand Canyon 5 oz Silver Coin to you for online purchasing.
Highlights:
When you purchase the 2010-P Burnished ATB Grand Canyon 5 oz Silver Coin in this product listing, you will receive a coin with a commemorative US Mint box that also features a Certificate of Authenticity from the mint. The coins in the Burnished ATB Silver series have P mint marks from the Philadelphia Mint located on the obverse field to the lower-right of President Washingtons bust.
Obverse
President George Washington is depicted on the obverse of all 2010-P Burnished ATB 5 oz Silver Coins. Designed in 1932 by John Flanagan, this bust of Washington has featured on the circulation quarter since that time and was chosen that year for the quarter as it was the 200th anniversary of Washingtons birth. Inscriptions on this face of the coin include United States of America, Liberty, In God We Trust, and Quarter Dollar, along with the aforementioned mint mark.
Reverse
Marble Canyon is shown on the reverse field of 2010-P Burnished ATB Grand Canyon 5 oz Silver Coins. Considered the start of the Grand Canyon itself and the boundary of the National Park, Marble Canyon extends from Lees Ferry to the confluence of the Little Colorado River at the headwaters of the Grand Canyon.
History
Arizona is one of just three states in the ATB Series to use the same design site from the circulation State Quarters program. Grand Canyon National Park is a world-famous site and was first established as federally protected land in 1893.
