When the United States Mint released the American Gold Buffalo Coin in 2006, it revolutionized the industry as the first-ever 24-karat gold coin from the United States. These coins proudly feature the timeless images from the 1913 Buffalo Nickel, a design created by James Earle Fraser. Now, you have the exclusive opportunity to own the 2010 1 oz American Gold Buffalo Coins in impeccable condition, available for purchase at Provident Metals.

Highlights:

  • Each coin is carefully protected in PCGS plastic slabs!
  • This marks the 5th issue of 1 oz American Gold Buffalo Coins!
  • The final mintage is limited to only 209,000 coins!
  • Limited availability of certified perfect coins!
  • Each coin contains 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure gold.
  • Issued with a face value of $50 (USD) by the United States.
  • These coins have received a Grade of Mint State 70 from the Professional Coin Grading Service.
  • Obverse depicts an indigenous figure.
  • Reverse depicts the American bison.

The design of the Buffalo Nickel deviated from the traditional depiction of historical figures seen on previous coins. Instead, the obverse showcased the profile of a Native American chief. Created by James Earle Fraser in 1913, this captivating design aimed to celebrate the cultural legacy of Native Americans and the iconic wildlife of the American West. The coin remained in circulation until 1938 when it was replaced by the modern Jefferson Nickel series.

Obverse

The obverse design of the 2010 Buffalo 1 oz Gold Coin proudly showcases the image of an indigenous tribal figure. The depiction captures the stoic expression of the man in right-profile relief, adding to the coin’s allure and historical significance.

Reverse

On the reverse side of the 2010 American Buffalo Gold Coin, Fraser’s portrayal of the American bison stands as a powerful symbol of the continent’s indigenous tribes and their deep connection to this magnificent creature, the largest land mammal in North America.

History

The 2010 American Buffalo marked the third straight year of increased demand for the American Buffalo. After its massive debut in 2006, demand slumped by 200,000 coins the next year. In 2008, 2009, 2010, and eventually 2011, demand rose steadily.

These 2010 American Buffalo 1 oz Gold Coins are available in flawless condition. Mint State 70 coins exhibit their original mint luster and possess no distracting flaws in their design elements or fields. Don’t miss this extraordinary opportunity to add these remarkable coins to your collection.
