First introduced in 1986, this popular series launched with both Gold and Silver Eagle coins. To honor the 20th anniversary, the Mint produced a special 1 oz Reverse Proof Gold Eagle. Provident Metals now offers the 2006-W Reverse Proof American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coin in certified perfect condition.

Each of these 2006-W Reverse Proof American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins has been graded PR70, the highest grade available, with no flaws and full original luster. The reverse proof finish adds a striking visual difference, with shiny design details over frosted backgrounds.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2006-W Reverse Proof American Eagle Gold Coin uses the well-known Liberty design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Originally featured on the $20 Double Eagle in 1907, the image depicts Liberty walking forward with a torch and olive branch in hand. Behind her are beams of sunlight, a ring of stars, and the US Capitol building. The inscriptions include LIBERTY, 2006, and the W mint mark.
Reverse
The reverse of 2006-W Reverse Proof Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins features a bald eagle family designed by Miley Busiek. This image, made specifically for the Gold Eagle series, includes a flying male eagle above a nest with a female eagle and hatchlings inside, reflecting themes of care and protection. The inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, 1 OZ. FINE GOLD, and 50 DOLLARS.
History
The Gold Eagle series began in 1986 with 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz coins. A Proof version was also offered, though only the 1 oz coin was available in that style at launch. The following years saw the addition of more Proof sizes, with the 1/2 oz in 1987 and the 1/4 oz and 1/10 oz in 1988.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
