With your purchase of the 2006-P Reverse Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin in this Provident Metals listing, you will receive a coin that is in near-perfect condition. Obverse
The obverse of 2006-P Reverse Proof American Eagle Silver Coins features a depiction of Walking Liberty. This historic design shows Liberty in left-profile relief walking toward the sun with her right hand outstretched, her left carrying branches of oak and laurel, and the American flag draped around her figure. The inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and 2006.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2006-P Reverse Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins, you will find the heraldic eagle of the United States. Another historic coin design, this particular image was updated by John Mercanti in 1986 for the release of this series. The inscriptions on this field read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, ONE DOLLAR, and the P mint mark from the Philadelphia Mint.
History
These coins were issued both individually to collectors and as part of a three-coin set in 2006. The set included a traditional W-Proof American Eagle and the new W-Burnished American Eagle. Reverse-proof coins have mirrored design elements overlaying frosted fields.
