{{/presale}}The United States Mint releases numerous coin sets each year to commemorate the circulation coins that we know and spend daily. However, these sets are made with coins that have special finishes or contain real silver. Today, you can purchase one of these sets, the 2004 US Mint Silver Proof Set, from Provident Metals.
Coin Highlights:
The United States Mint produces many coin sets. Annual releases of coin sets feature coins that were minted only during that calendar year. With this particular coin set, you will receive 11 coins that look just like their circulation counterparts but contains a beautiful mirror-like proof finish. Additionally, the dime, quarters, and half dollar coins all contain 90% silver. Each of the coins in this set have been given a face value that is fully backed by the United States government.
Each set in this listing is used, but the coins are in good condition. Because they are used sets, we dont guarantee that the shipping sleeves and Certificates of Authenticity will be included in your shipment. Additionally, if they are included, they might show signs of wear and tear. The coins ship in plastic coin holders, which might show some signs of wear and tear.
Designs
This set includes a Lincoln cent, Roosevelt dime, Kennedy half dollar, and Sacagawea dollar, as well as coins from the Westward Journey nickels and Statehood quarters collection. Each coin was minted in 2004.
With this set, you will receive five Statehood quarters: Michigan, Florida, Texas, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Although the designs vary on these quarters, each was minted in 2004. State quarter designs will include elements that are special to the state. For example, the Florida quarters theme is the Gateway to Discovery. The coin features the Spanish galleon, a space shuttle, and a piece of land with Sabal palm trees.
Beginning in 1999, the Statehood quarters series ran through 2008 with five new quarter releases each year. The coins were released in the same order in which the states were ratified or admitted into the Union.
There are two Westward Journey nickels included in this coin set. The Louisiana Purchase (also known as the Peace Medal) and Keelboat nickels were both minted in 2004, when the series began. The other two releases came out in 2005, and they were called the American Bison and Ocean in View nickels.
