Obverse

For the obverse field of the 2002-W Proof American Eagle Gold Coin, the coins are all engraved with the iconic Lady Liberty design which was sculpted by the global artisan, Augustus Saint-Gaudens. He is a French-American engraver who had been commissioned by our then President of America to design it. His work depicts a radiant woman striding towards the viewer with a burning torch of glory and an olive branch. This symbolizes peace and friendship.

Reverse

For the reverse field of the 2002-W Proof Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin, you will be treated to the image of an American bald eagle family. The bald eagle is the sigil of America and this design does well to showcase the strength and patriotism of bald eagles and how it reflects America.
