Goldbacks are a creative form of voluntary currency made using 24-karat gold and modern printing technology. With their artistic designs and gold content, they appeal to both users and collectors. In 2025, the Oklahoma Goldbacks were introduced as a new series. Among the fresh additions is the 2 Goldback denomination, which originally launched in the Florida Goldback Series. You can now find 2 Oklahoma Goldback Gold Notes available online at Provident Metals.

Highlights:

  • Notes arrive inside protective currency sleeves!
  • All-new Oklahoma Goldback release!
  • Unique design for the Oklahoma state series!
  • Contains 1/500 Troy oz of .9999 pure gold.
  • The design features an indigenous family at a small riverside village.
  • Goldbacks are NOT legal tender in the US.
  • Each one includes a UV security feature on the reverse.

Each of these 2 Oklahoma Goldback Gold Notes comes packaged in a protective currency sleeve. The Oklahoma Series includes all denominations that were previously introduced in the Florida Series, ranging from 1/2 Goldback to 100 Goldback. Each note now comes with a UV security feature on the back.

Design

The front of the 2 Oklahoma Goldback Gold Note displays a mother and child representing an indigenous community. Behind them, a village scene unfolds along a riverbank, with other tribal members traveling by canoe. Oklahoma has long been a home to many Native American tribes, a result of both chosen settlement and forced migration.

History

One of the major events in this history was the Trail of Tears during the 1830s, when tribes like the Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw, Chickasaw, and Seminole were forced to leave their traditional southeastern homelands and move to what is now Oklahoma.
