{{/presale}}Fans of Texas history have a special attachment to the phrase come and take it. After all, this slogan famously appeared on a flag that was used to inspire soldiers in the Battle of Gonzales. This skirmish instigated the Texas Revolution, which pitted rebel colonists against the regime of Mexican president Santa Anna. Provident Metals now has 2023 Texas Come and Take It 1 oz Silver Rounds available to you for purchase online.

Obverse
For the obverse of 2023 Texas Come and Take It Silver Rounds you will see a modified version of the Texas Seal. Originally adopted in the 1845 Texas Constitution, this seal showcases a five-pointed star surrounded by decorative branches of olive and oak. Inscribed along the upper rim are the words THE GREAT STATE OF TEXAS. The word great is an addition by the mint. Other inscriptions read ONE TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER.
Reverse
For the reverse side of 2023 Come and Take It 1 oz Silver Rounds the Gonzales cannon and a lone star are featured. This bronze artillery cannon was provided to settlers in the town of Gonzales, located east of San Antonio. When they refused to return the cannon to the Mexican Army, a conflict ensued that led to the Texas Revolution. The reverse also has inscriptions reading COME AND TAKE IT, 1 TROY OUNCE, .999 FINE SILVER.
History
The Come and Take It flag was originally created by the mother-daughter team of Sarah and Naomi DeWitt. Legend has it that the material for the flag was taken directly from the daughters wedding dress. The flag served as inspiration for the settlers in Gonzales and helped fuel tension between the colonists and the Mexican forces.
