{{/presale}}The 1993 release of Proof American Eagle Silver Coins holds two distinctions in the programs history. For starters, the 1993 Proof American Eagle Silver Coin was the first in the series struck at the Philadelphia Mint with the P mint mark. Additionally, it still holds the second-lowest mintage mark in the programs history just behind the 1994 coin. Right now, you can get the 1993-P Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin online at Provident Metals in perfect condition.
Highlights:
The 1993-P Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin you can purchase in this product listing comes with a perfect certification from the NGC. Coins in PF70 condition exhibit full, original mint luster with no detracting flaws of any kind visible on the design elements or background fields. An ultra-cameo label, or UCAM, indicates the visual brilliance of the proof elements on this coin. Each one has strong, frosted designs overlaying deeply-mirrored, clear background fields.
Obverse
Obverse design elements on the 1993-P Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins feature the Walking Liberty design. Created by Adolph A. Weinman, this icon of American coins first appeared on the US half dollar in 1916 and remained in production on that series until 1947. It depicts Liberty in left-profile relief walking toward the sun on the horizon.
Reverse
Reverse features of the 1993 Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin include the national emblem known as the heraldic eagle of the United States. First envisioned by Robert Scot in 1792, this version of the design comes from John Mercanti and was created in 1986 for this series. The most notable change in this iteration of the heraldic eagle is the cluster of stars above the eagle. In this design, the 13 stars are arranged in a tight, triangular grouping.
History
From 1986 to 1992, the San Francisco Mint had struck the Proof American Eagle Silver Coins. The 1993 release marked the first time the coins were produced at the Philadelphia Mint, resulting in a new P mint mark on the reverse. The 1993-P Proof American Eagle Silver Coin is also remembered for having the second-lowest mintage in series at just 405,913 coins.
