The 1993-P Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin was created with 22-karat actual gold content, containing a metal combination of 91.67% gold, 5.33% copper, and 3% silver. This coin also has a special proof finish, which means that the backgrounds on each side of the coin are mirrored while the designs themselves are frosted. History

1993 was the last year that fractional coins from the American Eagle Gold coin collection were manufactured at the Philadelphia Mint. Afterward, production of these coins was moved to the West Point location of the United States Mint, where 1 oz American Gold Eagle Coins were already being made and distributed.

Obverse

The obverse design of the 1993-P Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin was created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and shows the image of Lady Liberty. In the design, Lady Liberty walks forward, carrying an olive branch in one hand and a torch in the other. Sun rays extend out into the distance behind her in addition to the patriotic imagery included.

Reverse

A unique eagle family design created by Miley Busiek is included on the reverse of the 1993-P Proof American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coin. In the design, the male eagle flies overhead with an olive branch in its talons. It flies toward the nest, where a female eagle and her eaglets wait. Like the obverse, this side of the coin is both patriotic and historical. The coins value, weight, purity, and country of origin are also on this side of the coin.
