{{/presale}} {{#promotion_on}}The $10 Indian Head Gold Eagle, minted by the United States Mint from 1907 through 1933, is well known for its unique appearance and historical importance. Created during President Theodore Roosevelts push to improve American coin design, this piece was designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, a respected sculptor of the era. His work helped introduce a more artistic style to U.S. coinage. Today, 1932 Pre-33 $10 Indian Eagle Gold Coins in certified condition are available online at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
These 1932 Pre-33 $10 Indian Eagle Gold Coins are available in Mint State 63 condition. Coins in this grade generally display pleasing detail, though there may be visible marks in key areas along with light surface lines. Each coin has been graded by either PCGS or NGC, but we are unable to guarantee which service certified the coin you receive.
Obverse
The obverse of the 1932 $10 Indian Head Eagle Coin shows Liberty facing left, wearing a feathered headdress. Around the design are thirteen stars symbolizing the original colonies. While the design began with Augustus Saint-Gaudens, it was later completed by Charles Barber and Bela Lyon Pratt, helping preserve its original vision. The inscriptions include LIBERTY and 1932.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 1932 Pre-33 Indian Head Eagle Gold Coin, the American bald eagle is depicted standing with wings spread, resting on arrows above an olive branch. This pairing of imagery represents both readiness and peace, giving the coin a balanced design. The inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, and TEN DOLLARS.
History
The 1932 issue stands out as one of the final releases before gold coin circulation ended in 1933. With a total mintage of 4,463,000 coins, it is one of the more available dates from the series, making it a solid option for collectors interested in Pre-33 gold. Its connection to the Great Depression era also adds historical interest.
